Game Recap

The Braves opened up the 2017 Marion County Tournament with a 14-4 defeat of Pike Friday evening at Father O’Brien Field.

Jamie Born lead the way for the Braves on the bump allowing just two hits over his four innings to earn the win. E.J. White was strong in relief out of the bullpen and kept the Pike hitters at bay striking out one and allowing just two hits.

The offense compiled 12 hits on the day and were lead by Cam Farren and Justin Hensley’s four RBI’s a piece. Sophomore, Sean Swenson, hit a two run home run and Bo Richey was 3-4 with a triple and a RBI. Will Richman and Farren both were 2-4 with a double.

Other Braves contributing offensively were Connor Drews with a 1-4 night with two RBI’s and Shaine Mitchell with a single,
