The Boys and Girls Swim Teams competed in the Brebeuf Jesuit “School without Pools” Invite at the Natatorium last night.  The girls finished runner up to Cathedral and the boys finished third behind Roncalli and Heritage Christian.  The Braves posted several season and personal best times in the busy and well-attended meet.  Top finishers for the girls were Lauren Cross, Olivia Roudebush, Sarah Shuck, Julia Marsan, Jackie Gillum, Shelby Knop, Caity Carney, Frannie Jo Fiallo, and great 100 breast stroke by Maggie Webster.  The boys top finishers were Jeremy Ellison, Cameron Howe, Ben Lamberjack, Mike Wurster, AJ Krok, and big time swims by Jeffery Ellison.  The girls get in preparation mode for next week’s Sectional.

The Boys Varsity Basketball Team defeated Covenant Christian last night, 66-46.  Adam Kroot and  Malik Ferguson combined for 28 points, and PJ Thompson lead the Braves with 21, pushing his career total over the 1000 point barrier, a great achievement for a Junior to attain.  Congratulations PJ!  The JV team also beat the Warriors, 53 to 22, behind 17 points from Timmy Ahlrichs.

The Varsity Wrestling Team traveled to Hamilton Heights last night.  Eddie Barks won by technical fall and David Hubert narrowly lost to last year’s state finalist.  Mick Rivera, Eric Wright and David Starkey all lost close matches.  The Braves compete in the Arlington Sectional this Saturday.
