The Boys Varsity Basketball Team defeated Bishop Chatard last Friday night, 57-44.  It was a total team effort for the Braves, who improve to 10-5 and will play neighborhood rival and Class 2A number one ranked Park Tudor at home this Friday night.

The Girls Varsity Basketball team kept it close the whole game, but came up short against the Trojans on Friday, 52-45.  Anna Imhoff and Savannah Davis combined for 25 points to lead the Braves.  They will face Washington at home tomorrow night at 6:00.

Congratulations to the student body at the Chatard game.  That was perhaps the best attended, most spirited and best example of sportsmanship ever displayed at a Brebeuf Jesuit event.  Take a bow Braves!

The Varsity Wrestling Team competed in the Arlington Sectional on Saturday.  Congratulations to Eddie Barks and David Hubert.  They advanced to this Saturday’s Pendleton Heights Regional.

The Boys and Girls Bowling Teams competed in the Woodland Sectional on Saturday.  The girls finished second, advancing to this Saturday’s Regional at Expo Bowl.  Freshman Julianna Connelly and Junior led the Braves and qualified to also compete in the singles tournament.  The boys team bowled their best match of the season but came of short of a regional berth.  Congratulations to Senior bowlers Jarod May, Will Haffley and Dmitri Luper, and to the rest of the Braves on a fine season.

The Dance Team competed in the Bloomington South Invitational on Saturday.  Chloe Delumpa and Ayanna Byrd took first place in Duet.  The Jazz Ensemble also took top honors for the Braves, who travel to the Crawfordsville Invite this Saturday.

The Hockey Team played three league games this past weekend. The Braves were short-handed due to illness and injury, but showed great endurance through three games, defeating HSE B, 12-1 and Noblesville 3-0.  They also played to a 1-1 tie against Lawrence.  The Braves play St. Xavier and Carmel Blue this weekend.

Attention girls intending to play soccer next fall.  There will be a call-out meeting with Coach Yohe immediately after school tomorrow in the Wellness Center Hospitality Room.
