Game Recap

The Brebeuf Braves Boys Soccer team came back from a 2-0 deficit in the first half to force an overtime period and eventually Penalty Kicks against the North Central Panthers.
The Braves looked good throughout the game moving the ball around well but 2 defensive mistakes allowed the Panthers to go up 2-0 at half.
Second half the Braves continued to push and played flawless defense to shut out the Panthers and give themselves opportunities to score. The first goal came from an individual effort by So Mitch Amstutz as he dribbled past the Panthers’ defense and scored inside the 6 yard box.
The momentum shifted and the Braves energy was evident as they continued to push and their efforts paid off as the ball was bouncing around in the 6 yard box of the Panthers when Sr Sam Burns put the ball away for the equalizer.
Overtime was dominated by the Braves who had several good opportunities to score but did not capitalize.
Braves won it on PKs with Keller, Vare, Amstutz, Potts and Cacucci, with the winning PK, all scoring.
The Braves will play Southport for the Marion County tournament final at 6:45 pm.
