Game Recap

The Braves JV team competed in their first match of the year and managed to pull out a win against fellow Circle City Conference member Chatard, 2-0. In the first game, Brebeuf used solid serving to pull ahead and stay ahead throughout the first set. Tanner Seaman, Jacob McNair, and Teddy Limauro all served for a string of points that allowed Brebeuf to pull away. In the second game, Brebeuf’s service, while still good, wasn’t nearly as effective as Chatard stepped up its intensity, both in serving and their all around play. Chatard managed to stay even with the Braves throughout the majority of the second game until Brebeuf managed to pull ahead near the end. Some impressive swings from Tommy Dugan and Parker Moore on the outside as well as some nice middle play by Jacob McNair allowed Brebeuf to hold match point at 24-20. Chatard dug in and managed to pull to 23-24 before Brebeuf escaped the match with a missed serve to end the scoring.
