Game Recap

Brebeuf’s JV lacrosse team traveled up to Noblesville with a 1-0 record after defeating North Central in an impressive blowout season opener earlier in the week. The Miners came out in the 1st quarter sending a strong message to the Braves that they were going to make them work a lot harder in this game. The Miners went up quickly in the first quarter, scoring 3 goals to Brebeuf’s 1 goal. By the end of the 1st half, the Braves could only match the Miner’s 2 goals, ending the 2nd quarter down by 2. Brebeuf matched Noblesville’s scoring in both the 3rd and 4th quarters, but could not overcome the 2 goal deficit. Brebeuf was led in scoring by Adam Taylor who was able to tally 4 goals and 1 assist. Other contributing players were Caulin Fitzgerald and David Hirschfeld with 1 goal and 1 assist, Brian Hiltunen and Tate Sams each had 1 goal a piece and Jack Cota contributed 1 assist. The Braves were led defensively by goalie James Foxworthy who ended the game with 7 saves. Brebeuf’s next game is Wednesday, March 22nd at Zionsville.
