Braves fans! It’s time to vote for the August Summers Plumbing Heating & Cooling Athlete of the Month. Nominated for Brebeuf Jesuit Prep this month is:
Naija Gadis – Volleyball – Brebeuf Jesuit Prep
Naija is running the Varsity offense for the second year and is already breaking personal records as a sophomore. She passed the 1,000 assist mark very early on in the season and then beat her personal assist record totaling 43 assists against Western Boone. Naija is a great teammate and pushes herself to be better in all skills. She leads with confidence and shows younger players that they can lead at the varsity level.
So far this season she has 318 assists, 10 aces, 53 digs and 24 kills.
Bella Schumacher – Volleyball – Brebeuf Jesuit Prep
Bella has been a 4 year varsity player. She always is a constant for the Braves in the back row. She has stepped into the libero role this season and has had some great play against Heritage Christian, Western Boone and Ben Davis. So far this season she has 87 digs and 11 aces. She has 78 career aces. Bella is a captain and leads her team with positive energy and always has a team first mentality. Bella truly embodies what it means to be a Brave by advocating for others. We are blessed to have Bella in our program.

Josie has 6 Goals and 3 Assists on our 3-2-2 team.
She leads our team in goals and points.

Garrett Esposito – Football – Beech Grove HS
In 2 weeks of football, Garrett has scored 6 touchdowns including an 80 yard kickoff return, 85 yard punt return, a 51 yard interception return, a 15 yard run, and two receptions (30 yards & 80 yards).
Jose Escalante – Soccer – Speedway HS
Jose is growing every game as a player and is facing the best effort from opposing teams due to his skill level. In August, he scored 7 goals and recorded an assist leading the Sparkplugs to a 3 – 1- 1 record against a difficult schedule.
Micah Wilson – Football – Covenant Christian HS
In three weeks, he has rushed 21 times for 270 yards, with 6 rushing touchdowns and 1 receiving touchdown. He has helped lead the Warriors to a 3-0 start.
Austin Frazier – Football – Covenant Christian HS
In three games, he is 17-for-33 passing for 471 yards and 9 TD.
Sophia Kirschner – Volleyball – Park Tudor HS
Sophia has a tremendous work ethic and strives to be perfect every single minute. She has taken on a new role this year on our varsity volleyball team. As a freshman and sophomore she played a part time role, all the while waiting and working towards the full time role she has now as our libero. Sophia is immensely respected by her teammates and coaches for her competitive spirit, positive attitude, and overall effort she brings to our team.
As of today 9/9 she leads the team in aces, digs, digging percentage, serve reception rating, and is second in assists behind our setter.
She has not once complained or showed she tired in a game or practice.
Our Park Tudor Volleyball team is currently ranked #8 in Zratings in 2A and #9 by MaxPreps.
