Boys Track and Field Competes in Sectional

The Braves got off to a great start to the IHSAA Lawrence Central Sectional with the 4x8 relay finished All-Sectional 5th place with Hudson Sharpe, Mackie Skinner, James Narkiewicz, and Haroon Iqtidar. Jayden Garner placed All-Sectional 8th in both the 110m High Hurdles and 300m Intermediate Hurdles. Ed Watson continued his dominance in the 100m dash with a runner up All-Sectional finish. In the 200m dash we had All-Sectional finishes from Zeke Smith in 4th, and Xavion Bond in 6th. We also had two All-Sectional finishers in the 400m dash with Malachi Lesnet placing 3rd and Evan Watson finishing 7th. In the 800m, Johnny King finished All-Sectional 7th. In the 1600m run All-Sectional finishers were Runner up Ollie Haug, and Beck Biggerstaff in 8th. In the 3200m run Ollie placed All-Sectional 4th and Beck finished 6th. To round out the running events our 4x4 All-Sectional 5th place squad of Zeke Smith, Johnny King, Xavion Bond, and Malachi Lesnet gave it their best. In the Field Events All-Sectional finishers include 3rd place Cameron Kelley and 4th place Joe Kiwanuka in the long jump, Joe in the high jump placing 5th, Jack Duffer was runner up and brother Joe placed 5th in the pole vault.
