The Brebeuf Brave’s hockey team concluded their season with a big 7-1 win over HSE-B. In an action packed game with a lot of offense proved to send the three seniors off on a high note. Sophmore, Lane Erickson, got the scoring off quickly in the opening period on some nice passing from his linemates, Colton Jung, and Senior, Ethan Krohne. Almost a minute later, Riley Johnson was able to dent the twine on an unassisted play. HSE was able to muster up some offense and find a tally making the score, 2-1 Braves. With less than a minute left in the opening scene, Lane Erickson and Colt Jung linked up for the second time, and for Erickson’s second goal of the game. Headed into the second period, Senior defenseman, Cam Wagner decided he should get in on the scoring action, with assists coming from fellow defensemen, Ben King, and David Peacock. 3 Minutes later, Wagner wasn’t done and skated the puck into the HSE zone and fired a shot that connected with the back of the net for his second goal of the game. Parker Baumann and linemate Riley Johnson connected early in the third period for a short-handed goal making the score 6-1.
Then to put the icing on the cake to his high school career, Cam Wagner finished off his Hat Trick effort with his third goal of the game, sending the senior off with a 3 goal final game, and 7-1 win.
