The Brebeuf Jesuit Braves went up against a high powered Hamilton Southeastern lacrosse team Friday night in an opportunity to improve the Braves state standings in preparation for play-offs. The Braves fought hard to keep pace with HSE but could not overcome early game set-backs.
The Braves trailed at half time by a score of 9-4. HSE would win the game by a final score of 16-10. Aidan Itamura led the Braves in points score with 4 goals. Will King added 2 goals, followed by Quinn Fitzgerald, Dillon Howell, Matthew McKay and Henry Goldenberg with 1 goal a piece. Michael Kennedy, Erik Klem and Charlie Kroot added 1 assist each.
Defensively, Charlie Kroot, Henry Goldenberg and Lucas Lowry all played exceptional defense, but the HSE offense was too strong. James Foxworthy would end the day with 2 saves and Corbin Riggins would have 3 saves.
