The Brebeuf Braves fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 9-1 loss to Carmel on Monday. Carmel took the lead on a home run in the first inning.

Carmel got things moving in the first inning, when Brayden Lentz hit a solo homer.
Carmel scored four runs in the sixth inning. The offense was led by Jackson Adams, Drew Kelly, and Alex Brooks, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Drew Olssen got the win for Carmel. He allowed one hit and zero runs over four innings, striking out five and walking zero. Drew Harding, Zach Vogt, and Brandon Rosenfeld all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.

Shane Bauer took the loss for Brebeuf Jesuit Braves Varsity Baseball. He went two innings, allowing two runs on two hits and striking out six.

The Braves hit one home run on the day. Gabe Wright had a four bagger in the sixth inning.

Wright, Andrew Pickett, Bauer, and Karl Meyer all had one hit to lead Brebeuf.
