The Brebeuf Jesuit girls soccer team moved into Saturday night’s title game of the Marion County Soccer Championship Tournament Saturday morning with a 4-1 semifinal victory over Park Tudor at North Central. The Braves will play North Central for the Championship tonight at 6:45PM at North Central.
The Braves took the lead early in the game and never looked back. Senior Paige Edens scored first for the Braves on an unassisted goal after she beat three defenders and put the ball away for the 1-0 lead. Junior Gabbie Lindeman made the score 2-0 when she took a pass from freshman Emma Urick and buried into the back of the net. Scoring :28 into the second half Edens connected with Junior Courtney Kelley on a perfect pass to finish with a header at the back post. Edens scored again minutes later when she scored off a header from the throw-in assist of senior Melanie Marshall to make the score 4-0. Park Tudor scored late in the second half for a 4-1 final score.
