Shane Bauer came to the ballpark and meant business on Tuesday, driving in six on three hits to lead Brebeuf Jesuit past Park Tudor 10-9 on Tuesday in 10 innings. Bauer drove in runs on a double in the first, a groundout in the fifth, and a double in the sixth.
Park Tudor scored five runs in the first inning, but Brebeuf still managed to pull out the victory. The Braves put up five of their own runs in the sixth inning.
Aidan Hartung got the win for Brebeuf. He surrendered zero runs on zero hits over one inning, striking out one and walking zero. Sam Reed, Andrew Pickett, and Karl Meyer all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.
Chris Wilson took the loss for Park Tudor. He went four and a third innings, allowing one run on three hits and striking out two.
Brebeuf saw the ball well today, racking up 12 hits in the game. Bauer, Anthony Annee, Pickett, and Wright each racked up multiple hits. Bauer went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead Brebeuf in hits.
