The Braves played well on Wednesday 5/22. Chatard opened up with 2 runs in the top of the first before Senior Jocelyn Swan ended the inning with 3 strikeouts. The Braves got their first 2 batters (Sarah Niednagel and Sophie Weber) on base but were unable to score in the first. In the second inning the Braves held Chatard to 0 runs with a 4 up, 3 down inning. The Braves started the inning with Elle Born being Hit by Pitch, Sanborn walked, Fenchak moved the runners on a ground ball and Niednagel scored the run with a single. Chatard was held to a 3 up 3 down inning by the braves in the 3rd. Lily Kersey hit a monster solo homerun to score the Braves second run. Though Nanagas, Born and Sanborn all got on base no further runs were scored. In the 4th Inning Chatard was again held to a 3 up 3 down inning. The Braves managed a single by Weber during the 4th but she was left on base. The 5th inning Chatard began hitting the ball hard and the Braves had 4 errors which led to a 10 run inning before the Braves managed out of the inning. The Braves did not score in the 5th inning which ended the game by run rule. The Braves played a great game against a tough opponent to end their season.
Jill Nanagas, Sarah Niednagel and Sophie Weber each had 2 hits during the game, Anna Sanborn contributed a single and Senior Lily Kersey had a solo homerun. Senior Jocelyn Swan had several strikeouts and 0 walks from the mound.
