FALL SPORTS OFFICIAL PRACTICE START DATES: GIRLS GOLF 8/1 ALL OTHER TEAMS 8/4 MORATORIUM FOR ALL TEAMS: JUNE 29-JULY 5 – NO ACTIVITIES WELLNESS CENTER ORIENTATION: 6/4-6 9:00 a.m – 11:00 a.m. Any student-athlete planning to workout in the Wellness Center must attend one session. If you have a conflict and cannot attend one of the three sessions, please contact Coach Clem jclem@brebeuf.org Baseball Hello Future Braves!! My name is Wes Neese and I will be your head baseball coach for Brebeuf Baseball. I wanted to invite all the incoming Braves to meet their new teammates this summer so that when school starts, they will have some familiar faces to turn to with any questions. I know many of you have busy summer baseball schedules, but if either day listed below work for you to come meet some of the current players and take batting practice, you are always welcome. I apologize there are not more opportunities, but my oldest son is a graduating senior and we are taking a trip to Europe right after the state finals. These practices are in no way mandatory to attend. We won’t be doing anything that gets in the way of playing with your teams on the weekends. We will have machines set up in the tunnels to get swings, there will be two mounds available to get any bullpens in between starts for pitchers and when we have enough players attending we may also work on some team skills that will help us get ahead of the game for next year. Please wear baseball pants, t-shirt, belt and hat. Any kind of cleats will be fine. Summer workout dates are listed below. Monday June 2nd 5-6:30pm Wednesday June 11th 5-6:30pm I look forward to meeting everyone and providing some summer opportunities for your son to grow and get acclimated to Brebeuf and the baseball program. This is Brandon Gill, Head Boys Tennis Coach. I wanted to take a second to welcome you all to Brebeuf Jesuit and also to shout out Colleen for all she has done to help you guys get situated and ready for the beginning of the upcoming school year! If you are getting this email, your son has shown interest in the tennis program and/or is 100 percent committed to playing tennis this year! I want to give you just a general idea of what the expectations are from me and kind of how we operate prior to the tennis season and during the summer and then ultimately leading into the beginning of the season. Spring From now until the beginning of the summer when we start official Summer Camp, it would be extremely helpful to get an idea of how experienced of a player your son is and if he has tournament experience, aspirations to play varsity/JV, played in middle school, is a beginner, etc. Also having all necessary information will help us to get you onto Team Snap, which is the tennis DeFacto Communication App. I’m a full time Tennis Professional and while I have a hectic schedule teaching, the Brebeuf students will always be a number 1 priority for me and the more I know the more I can help get them going in some capacity in the spring w getting into a junior program, or getting them in for private lessons to see where they are at. This will help prepare them for the tennis season. This information can be sent to me via email, and or text 317-442-5410 We have a CULTURE OF DEVELOPMENT and my ultimate goal is for them to improve and I have now plus 4 years to help them do this. Everything I offer is obviously 100 percent optional for everyone. Teams We will have a spot for everyone on either Varsity, JV, or JV Gold (developmental team) as we don’t cut. Roster sizes have differentiated over the year but we build the rosters based on skill level. Summer During the summer time we hold open summer camps for all returning players and incoming players starting on Wednesday May 29th. These Camp days go every week on Monday and Wednesday afternoon. With the exception of Moratorium Week July 1-7th. Summer Camp days go from 3-5:15 and have a cost of 35$ for attendance for that day. Once again we offer this and recommend it but this is optional for your son and is not mandatory. I 100% believe in the developmental program we offer but if you feel your son is a better fit at a different summer camp offered then that preference is entirely yours. Also if your son is taking summer school and wants to attend summer camp then he would need to take morning summer school. If that can’t be done, then again that is okay.
